Tomas Soucek sets a high West Ham aim and discusses ‘difficulty’ with teammate.

Tomas Soucek played all 90 minutes as West Ham defeated Brentford on Monday night.

Tomas Soucek is targeting European qualification following West Ham’s crushing victory over Brentford. Prior to Monday’s 4-2 triumph at the London Stadium, the Hammers’ season was challenged by an eight-game winless skid.

Jarrod Bowen’s hat-trick helped West Ham gain three crucial points, propelling them to eighth position in the table and within striking distance of a European spot. Emerson Palmieri scored a fantastic long-range attempt to seal the victory and leave Neal Maupay and Yoane Wissa’s goals irrelevant.

David Moyes’ squad is desperate for another year of continental competition following their Europa Conference League victory last season. They might qualify for Europe with a high league finish or by winning the Europa League.

With winnable meetings against Everton and Burnley coming up in the Premier League, Soucek is clear about his team’s goal for the rest of the season.

The Czech stated, “We’ve played European football for three years in a row, and this season we still have a chance to qualify. I’m just hoping we can obtain it.

In the Premier League, it makes no difference whether you play against the top or the last team. We only need to win the next game; we know we need to be high in the table and compete for positions that will lead to European football.”
