West Ham dealt yet another Lucas Paqueta blow ahead of the Brentford meeting, as things go from bad to worse for Davidso Moyes.

Lucas Paqueta is now working hard to return in time for West Ham United’s game against Brentford next week.

West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta has been out injured since January 7th, and we desperately need him back for the Brentford game.

The 26-year-old Hammers player resumed full training on the pitch with his teammates at the end of last week, which was a tremendous lift for us.

David Moyes sorely wants the Brazilian back at the London Stadium, as his job is currently on the line.

Unfortunately, the Scot will have to wait a little longer for Paqueta’s comeback.

According to Claret and Hugh, Paqueta will not be in the squad for Monday’s Premier League game against Brentford.

That is clearly a significant blow to Moyes, as well as Hammers fans.

The Brazilian is very critical to everything we do well, and his ball-handling ability has been much missed.

In reality, the statement expresses concern about how dependant we are on him. Even Emerson Palmieri has not been the same player since Paqueta’s injury six weeks ago.

Moyes must handle this issue in the summer by recruiting a top-tier player who can fill in for the South American and even replace him if he leaves the club.

In the meanwhile, all we need is for him to return as soon as possible. Unfortunately for West Ham, Lucas Paqueta does not appear to be returning in time for our game against Brentford.

In my opinion, this will give the away team a significant advantage.
