West Ham United transfer news: Kurt Zouma transfer plan revealed after expert left ‘raging’

According to sources, David Moyes wants to keep club captain Kurt Zouma at West Ham if he signs a new contract this summer.

Moyes is out of contract at the London Stadium this summer, and it is believed that his future is critical to keeping Zouma, 29, with the club.

The former Chelsea defender has been connected with several Saudi Pro League clubs in recent transfer windows.

By the end of June, he will have only 12 months left on his contract with West Ham.

According to a reliable source, Moyes will wish to keep Zouma at the club until the financial situation improves.

Moyes wants to keep big-earning Zouma at West Ham

The Scot appointed the Frenchman as the club’s new captain last summer (2023), after bringing him in 2021.
Moyes has stated that he has been offered a new contract at the London Stadium, with his current one set to end in June.

Zouma has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the 2023-24 season, scoring one goal.

The Lyon-born ace is reportedly paid £125,000 each week at the London Stadium, making him one of the club’s best earners.

Moyes’ side is now mid-table in the Premier League and will compete in the Europa League knockout stage next month.

Zouma and Morocco international Nayef Aguerd have formed a solid relationship when the latter joined West Ham in 2022.
