'It came back to bite them,' Tom Brady levels harsh truth on Dan Campbell’s risky calls which resulted in Lions’ loss in the NFC Championship game

‘It came back to bite them,’ Tom Brady reveals the brutal reality about Dan Campbell’s reckless selections that led to the Lions’ loss in the NFC Championship game

Dan Campbell, the Detroit Lions’ head coach, has been extremely popular with fans and analysts this season. He has single-handedly improved the spirit of the Detroit Lions team. The Lions made history by winning a postseason game after three decades, and Campbell was the architect who toiled ‘not-so-silently’ but behind the scenes. His attacking style of football piqued the interest of numerous pundits and fans.

However, not everyone seems to think the same way. Some people dislike Campbell’s offensive playing style. Some argue that Campbell should have been more careful against the Niners in the championship game. Tom Brady, for example, blamed Campbell for the loss to the 49ers.

Brady, who will be the NFL’s main analyst starting next season, discussed Campbell’s aggressive football on the Let’s Go Podcast. He did not hesitate to suggest that Campbell’s attacking football had cost the Lions their interest.

Brady stated:

They have been aggressive all year. You understand that when you are aggressive and it does not work, it will come back to bite you. It returned to bite them yesterday. Again, I would have accepted the points. Tom Brady said:

The head coach, who had received praise during the season, couldn’t hold back emotions after the game against the Niners. They were inches from victory but were unable to secure the game and, ultimately, the Conference Championship.

Tom Brady believes that the Lions did not create enough pressure on the Niners

At halftime, the Detroit Lions led 24-7. The visiting fans cheered because they thought they had made it to the Super Bowl and won the Conference Championship. They had no idea that the Niners would have a clutch drive and the third quarter would swing things in their favor.

Brady stated that the Lions did not provide the necessary pressure. They were well ahead, and the Niners were under a lot of pressure at the time.

Here is what he said on the subject:

I have been in those circumstances. I look at them and say, “OK, now is the time to keep the pressure on the 49ers to make great plays, and you’re in a great position.” Tom Brady presented a softer side of himself as an analyst. Beginning the following year, he would have plenty of opportunity to promote or attack NFL big names.
