Senior Bowl standout could be Bills' perfect replacement for All-Pro

Senior Bowl standout could be Bills’ ideal replacements for All-Pro.

With Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde due to hit free agency in 2024, it may be time to find a replacement. With Jordan Poyer tied up for another season, it will be difficult to keep both safeties at top-market prices.

Micah’s wife, Amanda, recently sent what appeared to be a parting message to the Bills Mafia. Although it would be a devastating exit, particularly with a new defensive coordinator, there are candidates to replace him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Kamren Kinchens, a Senior Bowl standout, recently spoke with Travis May of A to Z Sports on who he models his game after.

Kinchens referred to Antoine Winfield, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ versatile safety who was chosen First-Team All-Pro in 2023. In the video below, Kinchens lists several players with whom he would like to play. Although it is not seen in the video, May highlighted Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde of the Buffalo Bills.

He’d fit right into Buffalo’s defensive system. Buffalo has done an excellent job of assigning safeties to hybrid roles that allow them to play both free and strong safety.

According to A to Z Sports’ Rob Gregson, Kinchens “makes plays all over the defense.” Capable of playing on the high post, as a plus one in the box, or in split-screen situations.”

Kamren Kinchen’s Scouting Report
Rob Gregson of A to Z Sports provided the following summary of our entire scouting report on Kamren Kinchens:

Kinchens is a combination of size, speed, and power that defies categorization. He suffers in certain technical areas and may benefit from more eye discipline, but his athletic characteristics and ball abilities make him a versatile playmaker that defensive coordinators will like using.
